Einkorn: Slow-fermented belgian waffles

This recipe starts the night before. Einkorn flour is different than the wheat I grew up eating. I’ve had an old waffle maker that I don’t believe has ever been used, but it from a long time ago. The box looks old and it says “Master Cuisine Side-by-Side Waffle Baker”. I could only find one photo of it with a google search, and that was of someone selling it on “letitgo”. It worked like a charm even if I botched a couple and made a mess.

Chosen waffle toppings:

  • raspberry preserves
  • real maple syrup
  • dusting of cinnamon
  • homemade whipped cream
  • fresh blueberries

We loved this recipe. How could we have gone so long without making waffles? And now that we have an amazing einkorn recipe…adding it to the weekend breakfast rotation.
